Integrating with external systems is easier than ever
Business processes often need to integrate with 3rd party line-of-business (LOB) applications or external data sources. FlowCentric Processware 2016 exposes an integration framework that allows integration sources to be defined at a system level, and then easily accessed by developers in the Process Suite.
Narrow down design changes and identify issues quickly
All changes made to FlowCentric Processware 2016 system tables, containing design time information, are automatically logged to an audit table. This makes it possible to easily identify changes on production systems and rectify any erroneous modifications.
Write once – run anywhere
FlowCentric Processware 2016 will soon include two new Navigators. One for iOS phones and tablets, and one for Android phones and tablets. Licensed users will be able to access existing FlowCentric Processware processes via these apps.
Rapidly access process data and develop business reports
Logging the contents of controls as each activity is submitted for reporting purposes is time consuming and mundane. FlowCentric Processware 2016 contains several stored procedures that developers can execute at any time, to automatically create tables and views which represent each activity and its controls. Additional stored procedures will populate these tables with current instance and/or archive data. Once created, triggers will automatically keep the data reporting tables in sync with new process instances. All that is left for the developer to do is to create the actual reports based on this data.
Managing the development lifecycle with a few clicks
Moving a process and all its dependent components (roles/role groups/custom tables) from one environment (i.e. development) to another (i.e. staging, QA, or production) is a complex and sometimes daunting exercise. With FlowCentric Processware 2016’s new deployment tool it becomes easier than ever to do this. The GUI driven deployment tool allows developers to easily view both FlowCentric Processware servers, compare what exists on each, select what they want to move between servers, and move all the selected components in a single transaction. This capability ensures that the destination server is always left in a usable state.
